Sat-Browse Instructions for Sat-Fi with the Android App.

Before you begin make sure you have your Globalstar or SPOT My Accounts set up and that you have downloaded the latest firmware here.

  1. On your Android device, turn on your Wi-Fi connection and connect to the Sat-Fi network. Default Password: satfi1234.
  2. Open the Sat-Fi app on your Android device, select Settings and then select XWeb Proxy Server.
  3. In the Server field, select xwe2b.globalstarmail.com and then select your desired compression speed under Port.
  4. Go back to the Sat-Fi main screen and select Web.
    Note: If the Sat-Browse page is displayed proceed to Step 6.
  5. Select Bookmarks and then select Home.
  6. Select the Log In button on the Sat-Browse home screen.
  7. Enter in your Globalstar or SPOT My Account username and password and then select Log In.
    Note: If you do not have a Globalstar or SPOT My Account, visit myaccount.globalstar.com or login.findmespot.com over a Wi-Fi connection to sign up.
  8. After successfully logging in for the first time a Yippy Customer Agreement screen will be displayed. Read and agree to the terms and then select Continue.
  9. You are now ready to start browsing. In the search field enter your search and select Search.
  10. Selecting the bold orange text will display the compressed Yippy text-based version of the web page. Selecting the standard version will display the non-Yippy web page.
    Note: The Standard Version will be a non-compressed web page incurring large data costs and slow download speeds.

  1. Click here to download the Globalstar Modem Software for your PC.
    Note: To use a data cable for web browsing you must have Windows 8 or an early version.
  2. Connect your data cable from your PC to your satellite device.
  3. On your PC open up the Control Panel, select Network and Sharing Center and then select Change Adapter Settings.
  4. Double click on the Globalstar Packet Modem and ensure the satellite device number is #777 and select Dial.
  5. Open a search engine and type in satbrowse.globalstar.com to start compressed browsing.
  6. Select the Log In button on the Sat-Browse home screen.
  7. Enter in your Globalstar or SPOT My Account username and password and then select Log In.
    Note: If you do not have a Globalstar or SPOT My Account, visit myaccount.globalstar.com or login.findmespot.com over a Wi-Fi connection to sign up.

Before you begin make sure you have your Globalstar or SPOT My Accounts set up and that you have downloaded the latest firmware here.

  1. Click here to download the Globalstar Modem Software for your Mac.
  2. Connect your data cable from your Mac to your satellite device.
  3. On your Mac open up the Apple Menu, select System Preferences and then select Network.
  4. Make sure that the lock icon is unlocked in the lower left. Select the + sign below the Service list.
    Note: If Globalstar or Qualcomm is already on the list proceed to Step 6.
  5. Select Qualcomm from the Interface drop-down menu and change the Service Name to Globalstar and then select Create.
  6. Select Globalstar on the Service list and enter #777 as the Telephone Number and then select Apply.
  7. Check the box to Show modem status in menu bar and then exit out of the Network window.
  8. Select the Connect Globalstar on the phone icon in the menu bar.
  9. Open a search engine and type in satbrowse.globalstar.com to start compressed browsing.
  10. Select the Log In button on the Sat-Browse home screen.
  11. Enter in your Globalstar or SPOT My Account username and password and then select Log In.
